Week 20 Reviews: Saga #55, Saga #56, Saga #57, Saga #58

At long last, Hazel and her star-crossed family are finally back and here to kick off a NEW STORY ARC! So, where the hell have they been? As thanks for fans' endless patience, the SAGA team is proud to return with a double-length issue—44 pages of story for the regular $2.99 price point—without variant covers or gimmicky renumbering. Just more pulse-punding adventure, heart-wrenching character drama, and gloriously graphic sex and violence, as SAGA begins the second half the series and the most epic chapter yet!

Everyone mourns in their own way.

Long-term relationships are easy? LYING.

Friends or enemies?

My Review:
Well, I'm a bit late coming back to this comic, but that was a pretty good decision, given it's tendency towards shocking cliffhangers, and it's publication schedule of the issues in a volume being released monthly, before a break between the end of one volume's issues and the next.

I had no idea where this would go from after the events of 54, there were some controversial decisions made, some game changers, and issue 55 kicked things off right away-with a time jump. We do later get a flash back, but not of the immediate aftermath, but a period of time later. So I really hope that we do get to learn more of that time!

Poor Squire. He either feels guilt, because he was running away, and they were looking for him when his father was killed. Or he feels guilt because he doesn't feel guilty about that. Time will tell, since right now, Squire isn't!

And of course, each episode had some killer cliffhangers. And what The Will and Gwendolyn are doing, yeah, they're on the villains list. Gwendolyn could've been redeemed, even after killing D. Oswald Heist, but she's going too far now. It'll take a lot to redeem her, if that's what they plan on. If they keep her as a villain, I'm good with that!

What I most want to know-after getting the latest cliffhanger resolved, is where are Petrichor and Ghus? Well, also Upsher, but I can understand why he's not with the group. I can understand why Petrichor isn't given 54, but Ghus? He was with them in that flashback, so where'd he go from there? And what about Klara? Since she stayed behind in that detention center, what's happened to her? Does she know about Marko?

Loved reading these latest issues, and I can't wait for more!
