Week 49 Review: Conquer the Kingdom

From Goodreads:
Magic reigns, plots abound, and a new love might not conquer all, in this must-read finale to the epic Gargoyle Queen trilogy by international bestselling author Jennifer Estep.

Time is running out for crown princess Gemma Ripley. Despite being a cunning spy and a powerful mind magier, Gemma hasn't been able to track down the most dangerous enemy her kingdom of Andvari has ever seen. Adding to her worries is the Sword and Shield tournament. With gladiators flocking to the capital city of Glanzen, Gemma can't tell who is friend—or foe.

Determined to protect Andvari at any cost, Gemma hatches a bold plan, but things aren't what they seem. Soon, everything she holds dear is being threatened, including her burgeoning relationship with Prince Leonidas Morricone.

With the kingdom she holds dear slipping through her fingers, Gemma will have to conquer her fear and unlock the true secret of her magic—or watch her friends and family die and her beloved Andvari fall . . .

My Review:
Oh, this was a fantastic end to the series! I love this world, and I love these characters, and getting the end of Gemma and Leo's story was fantastic! I'm a little sad, because again, love everything about this series, and I'm not sure if we'll get another spin off series. I'd love to get Delmira's story!

Milo is on the run but he's also unpredictable. With his tearstone weapons with the dried fool's bane, as well as his lightning ability, he can cause a lot of damage, and with a tournament taking place, that's a prime time to act.

This book also reintroduces the DiLurci as threats, which I'd love to explore in another series. They've been lurking again, and this is the book that they come to the front and cause some more trouble. I really want to see them taken down! And since they still have their main goal unfilled, hopefully we will!

Absolutely loved how everything wrapped up. I loved how Gemma figured out about her power, and just how bad ass that final big battle was. And oh, it's so satisfying that her and Leo get their happy ending, after all that they've been through, they deserve it!

This was such a great read, and I can't wait to read more by Jennifer Estep!
