Week 5 Review: A Court of Silver Wings

From Goodreads:
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Worse, she can't seem to move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it.

The one person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred warrior whose position in Rhysand and Feyre's Night Court keeps him constantly in Nesta's orbit. But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites. The fire between them is undeniable, and only burns hotter as they are forced into close quarters with each other.

Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who returned to the Continent during the last war have forged a dangerous new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Cassian and Nesta facing their haunting pasts.

Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance-and healing-in each other's arms.

My first review of A Court of Silver Wings
My Review:
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book again! This is the slowest in the series, there's action, but it's mainly about Nesta healing after everything that she's gone through in her life. We saw the start of attraction between the two of them in previous books, even if they didn't want it, or really act on it.

Nesta is angry at the world. She was forced to become a High Fae, she was a part of the war, and she doesn't know what to do with her life, now that it's so drastically changed. She does act out, which leads to being sent to live in the high palace.

At the heart of it, is that she's pushing away everyone who tries to care for her to punish herself. She knows she has sharp edges that can cut, and she sharpens them to keep people away. She has a strong personality, and she knows she's hard to like, but this was what she was trained to be by her mom.

There's so much going on, between Nesta's healing, her and Cassian's romance, the relationships that she has with Gwyn and Emerie and the training that they use to become Valkyries, Feyre's complicated pregnancy, as well as the Dread Trove, and the machinations of the one queen and Koschei, there was a lot going on in this book, and I loved it!

Absolutely loved reading this book again, and I can't wait to get to Crescent City now, and I can't wait to see where this series will go after the events of House of Sky and Breath and House of Flame and Shadow!
