Week 3 Review: The Queen of Nothing

From Goodreads:
He will be destruction of the crown and the ruination of the throne.

Power is much easier to acquire than it is to hold onto. Jude learned this lesson when she released her control over the wicked king, Cardan, in exchange for immeasurable power.

Now as the exiled mortal Queen of Faerie, Jude is powerless and left reeling from Cardan's betrayal. She bides her time determined to reclaim everything he took from her. Opportunity arrives in the form of her deceptive twin sister, Taryn, whose mortal life is in peril.

Jude must risk venturing back into the treacherous Faerie Court, and confront her lingering feelings for Cardan, if she wishes to save her sister. But Elfhame is not as she left it. War is brewing. As Jude slips deep within enemy lines she becomes ensnared in the conflict's bloody politics.

And, when a dormant yet powerful curse is unleashed, panic spreads throughout the land, forcing her to choose between her ambition and her humanity…

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author Holly Black, comes the highly anticipated and jaw-dropping finale to The Folk of the Air trilogy.

My Review:
I loved reading this book! After that killer ending of The Wicked King, I had to know how it was all going to work, and it was just fantastic to see their story finish! Well, we do have that 3.5 book, but I think that's from Cardan's past, though maybe there's a bit from their future, I won't know until I read it, which hopefully I'll do soon!

Well, Jude was in a very different place at the beginning of this book, between being the Queen of Faerie-but with only Cardan knowing that, as well as being banished for Faerie. But there's still the threat that Madoc and his allies gathering!

It's funny, because Jude considers the solution, but dismisses it, thinks that it wouldn't work, though it's what Cardan intends, so that was a little bit ironic! And I saw that there were letters that he wrote were in a special edition, which I found out about writing this review, and I then read them, and it's a little sad that Jude didn't get a chance to read them!

I really enjoyed how it all came together. Jude made some tough decisions, but it was a really satisfying ending, and I couldn't have asked for anything better from this twisted, dark and amazing series! It was just so epic to read!

This was a really fantastic read, and it was a really wonderful end to the series!
