Week 34 Review: The Bullet

From Goodreads:
Eve Duncan and Joe Quinn must protect the life of a brilliant scientist so that she can live long enough to bring her discovery to the world, in this fast-paced thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling author Iris Johansen.

Diane Connors is a dedicated doctor with the world's biggest secret, a discovery that could have shocking global ramifications.  But while conducting private research trials, word has gotten out. The wrong people have heard the news and now want to hide Diane's achievement for their own ends.

With nowhere else to turn, Diane finds herself on the doorstep of the last man she wants to ask for help: her ex-husband, Joe Quinn. Joe has remarried, and he and his wife, Eve Duncan, seem blissfully happy in their quiet, rural life until they are faced with the challenge of risking it all—even their marriage itself—for the greater good …

Now Eve is trapped in a web of murder and deceit as powerful enemies rush to cover up the truth, determined that Diane's discovery goes with her to the grave—even if Eve and Joe get buried with her.

My Review:
This book was so incredible! I love this world so much, but Diane hasn't bene mentioned since the first book. To have her as a lead character was just fantastic-I loved the disruptions that she caused in Eve and Joe's lives!

This book brought in Catherine, and it was great to see her again, I think the last book she was in was Vendetta. And Cameron does pop in, because what was going on with Diane was of...interest to him, I'll just say, and how this whole situation affects them, so that's a fun complication to deal with

All I really wanted to know, what was going on with Diane, and why all of this was happening. She doesn't tell us right away, and the first chance we get to learn, she doesn't tell the truth. But when we did find out, well, the action kicked it into high gear!

But one thing I'm wondering about, is what affect this book is going to have on this series! Because I'm wondering if this is going to be the same case of Quicksand. Quinn ended up with the ability's to see ghosts, and then basically that hasn't been seen since. So I'm kinda wondering if what happens in this book will continue in the series or disappear...

This was another great book, and I am in just as in love with this series as I was with the first book, and I can't wait to see where it goes from here!
