I haven't made my Best Books of 2023 post yet, which is a huge undertaking, but a top read off the top of my head is ASAP by Axie Oh, the Themis Files by Sylvain Neuvel, Be the Serpent by Seanan McGuire, The Brothers Hawthorne by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, The Golden Enclaves by Naomi Novik, and the Hurog series by Patricia Briggs, they were all excellent books!
