Week 48 Review: Look What You Made Me Do

From Goodreads:
A gripping thriller about a woman who must help cover the tracks of her serial killer sister -- only to discover her sibling isn't the only serial killer in town . . . and they're both next on his kill list.
Carrie Lawrence is an accomplice to murder, multiple murders actually, because her sister is a serial killer. When her sister's most recent victim is discovered and police find twelve more bodies buried nearby -- all missing a foot! -- things get weird. Carrie has helped her sister dispose of thirteen two-footed bodies in the past decade, but these bodies are being attributed to a madman dubbed "Footloose" by the media.

At first, Carrie is not certain if Footloose is real or just a side hobby for her sister, but when she finds a masked man hiding in her closet, she realizes that a second serial killer does indeed exist. She can't go to the police with her story so she reluctantly teams up with Becca to find the killer before she becomes his next victim.

My Review:
Oh, I was really looking forward to reading this book! Books with family members who are serial killers are always really interesting to read, both with the family member knowing and not knowing, and the with the public knowing and not knowing! And it was a really entertaining read!

Carrie is in a tough spot. Her sister Becca is a serial killer, and honestly Becca was pretty terrifying. She's blackmailed Carrie to have her help take care of the bodies of Becca's victims. Which is not a good situation to be in!

When the latest kill is found with a bunch of other bodies that Becca says she hasn't caused, meaning that there's another serial killer in the area, well, the stakes get raised, because Becca can't stand the idea of someone else killing her her territory.

Not to mention, said other serial killer seems to be targeting Carrie, well,, that's an added incentive to go after him. I really enjoyed watching the story play out, as Carrie is dragged further into this world, with the dark humour and interesting mystery!

I had a really great time reading this book and I can't wait to read more by Elaine Murphy!
