My Review:
This was such a fantastic read! I've loved this series since the beginning, and I always enjoy Danielle L Jensen books, and after the end of The Inadequate Heir, I had to see what would happen in the second half of Keris and Zarrah's story!
We got to know this pair pretty well in the first book, and with the way that things ended, I had to know how they were going to deal with the fact that she's on a prison island because of their relationship, and he's king of his country, yeah, not an easy place to be in!
Emotions are high, politics are high, and the writing and the story just consumed me, but I'm glad that I had this in audio, because this series has a way of flirting with pressing my buttons, and an audiobook helps me push through the story, because unless I have a reason to pause the story, the story keeps coming, regardless of if I'm ready for it, so I'm glad for that!
Where we leave these characters, after the journey that they went through, was really satisfying. I'm really glad that they got this ending. They deserve it, after what they went through, that time that they were forced apart, and everything that they had to face, yeah, I'm really glad where we left them!
Loved reading this book, and I can't wait to continue on with the series with the next couple's duology!
