Week 41 Review: Sabotage

From Goodreads:
The world of the Dark-Hunters is unlike anything you've ever seen before. It’s dark. It’s gritty. It's dangerous…

And it's a whole lot of unexpected action and snarky comebacks.

My name is Cyprian Malachai and I should have never been born. I know it. My mother knows it and most of all, my father, the Ambrose Malachai is more than aware of it. Every creature under the sun is out to end me.

But I don't go down easy. Anyone who's ever fought a Malachai knows that fact.

My father thinks that he's heard the last of me . . .

He hasn't. Our war is only an interlude. It’s about to heat up and I have a massive grudge to settle. One that is far from over . . .

My Review:
Oh, I had such a great time reading this book! I love her writing, and I love this world, and I had to know what was going to happen next, to follow along with this next chapter, of dealing with Nick's son, yeah, I need to know where this story would go! I thought, going in, that this would focuse on Cyprian, but this is more a continuation of Nick's story, which was pretty interesting!

The Chronicles of Nick, the series before this one, ended on a very interesting manner on how it connected to the main series. So having this series to follow up on it, yeah, I needed to read it regardless, but I had such a blast following these characters, and see how their story fits in with the wider world! What with Nick's memories basically being wiped of Kody and Caleb, well, I'm glad it was resolved, but I wish we could've gotten more details.

One part of the original series was the apocalypse that was coming, and the role that the Malachai was going to play in it. Which comes sharply into focus in this book, with time travel, and all sorts of interesting shenanigans. That Cyprian is Nick's son, and there's all the Malachai father/son situation going on, yeah, that was complicated.

I loved all the developments in this book, even if they were hard, and I'm really excited to continue on with this series, I can't wait to see how they're going to deal with everything. This world is so expansive, and wide-reaching, and I need to know how it's all going to come together!

Loved reading this book, and I can't wait to continue on with this series!
