Week 43 Review: To Right the Wrongs

Sheryl Scarborough continues the adventures of teen amateur sleuth and aspiring forensic scientist Erin Blake in To Right the Wrongs, the sequel to To Catch a Killer.

Barely three weeks after catching the killer of Erin's mother and their biology teacher, Erin and her crew are back, up to their elbows in forensics projects. But this time it's with the full approval of their parents.

With Uncle Victor at the helm, Erin and her best friends, Spam and Lysa, are prepping a new classroom for CSI summer camp, where they will serve as camp counselors. Meanwhile, Erin's super-hot new boyfriend, Journey, is graduating, just in time for him to take a position as Victor's intern in the new CSI lab on campus. Journey and Victor are going to take another look at the evidence in the murder trial that sent Journey's father to prison. The girls are under strict orders not to meddle with the murder case, but that's easier said than done...

My Review:
I loved reading this book! I really enjoyed the first book, and I was so excited to see what would come of Journey's case that he wanted solved for his father to be proved innocent. Of course they were going to help, even if they were told they weren't allowed to!

That this is a series, I'm so glad, I really enjoyed these characters, and was excited to see them investigate this next mystery! Of course it was filled with twists and turns, and I had to know the truth of what had happened with Journey's dad's case! Erin's specific interest in the scientific process is so interesting to read!

Reading about Erin and Journey, I really enjoy the pair of them together. They went though something in the first book solving her mom's case, and that bonded them together. They had their strengths and weaknesses, but they worked well together. I wish we could've had some more time with them, because Erin was a bit more focused on trying to prove his dad's innocence then on a romantic relationship with Journey.

Absolutely love this cast of characters, her friend group was just awesome! They had her back in the first book, and they did again in this one, as well as her uncle, and I loved that! These characters and the mystery were definite highlights of reading this book!

This was a thrill to read and I'm so glad that I did, and I would love to read more by Sheryl Scarborough in the future!
