Week 50 Review: Let it Snow

From Goodreads:
An ill-timed storm on Christmas Eve buries the residents of Gracetown under multiple feet of snow and causes quite a bit of chaos. One brave soul ventures out into the storm from her stranded train and sets off a chain of events that will change quite a few lives. Over the next three days one girl takes a risky shortcut with an adorable stranger, three friends set out to win a race to the Waffle House (and the hash brown spoils), and the fate of a teacup pig falls into the hands of a lovesick barista.

A trio of today's bestselling authors - John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle- brings all the magic of the holidays to life in three hilarious and charming interconnected tales of love, romance, and kisses that will steal your breath away.

My Review:
Man, this was a sweet and heart-warming anthology! There was a couple who'd never met before this, a couple who were friends and found out that they wanted it to be a romantic relationship, and a couple who had broken up, but just might get back together. Just a great, sweet read!

One thing that I really enjoyed about this anthology, is that while we follow different characters, they're in the same town at the same time. And these stories are chronological. Well, the 2nd one starts and ends in the time of the 1st story, but that's because the 1st covers more time. So I loved how these stories were linked!

I did enjoy the first two stories. But the third. The third, I really didn't like the narrator. She was young and immature. When she was remembering her past with Jeb, of a car wash, well, I didn't like it. Because it was to support a mom who went into labor early, and Jeb washed cars. Addie though she was doing it to impress her, but it was because his mom was a single mom, and he knew how hard she worked. Addie gets into a sulk over that, and he has to work to bring her out of it. Because of her assumption. So I just wanted her to grow up. But that's the point of this story, and she does, but it was hard to read the before she grew.

One thing that redeemed the final story for me, was that all the main characters from these stories got together in the end. There were little references to what happened in the previous stories, like Flobie and asshole. So that was really cute, and just made me enjoy the anthology more. They had a great idea, and executed it very well!

I really enjoyed this read, it was a great wintry read!
