Week 35 Review: You Should Have Seen This Coming

From Goodreads:
A teen girl who sees visions of the past must use her gift to save a kidnapped classmate in Shani Michelle's high-stakes YA thriller You Should Have Seen This Coming!

Hayden sees the past. Just touching an object will occasionally give her flashes of the previous owner's memories. And if that memory happens to be a deeply hidden secret, then she has no problem making you pay for your crime, in cash.

Cassie sees the future, and it sucks. She will randomly wake up from dreams filled with disasters that she feels compelled to stop, and she would really like to stop watching her boyfriend fall in love with someone else!

But when Cassie tries to warn Hayden that her latest blackmailing scheme is a trap, she knows she's really in trouble. All her visions warn her of the upcoming kidnapping, nothing she does stops it. And it's all Hayden's fault!

Can Hayden's gift help her find Cassie before it's too late?

My Review:
I had a really great time reading this book! I had such a great time with the idea of two people with powers-one to see the future, and one to see the past-and the mystery that arises when one of the disappears. It was such a great read!

Hayden has had it rough. Her mom is a empath, which means that she has trouble being in large crowds, leaving Hayden to play a lot of the adult roles, like grocery shopping. Meaning she has a finger on the pulse of their finances-leaving her to use her abilities to blackmail her fellow students.

We did alternative between Hayden and Cassie, which was really great, because with Hayden, we could see the past-but with Cassie, the future. Cassie, who knows her boyfriend and Hayden will end up dating. Cassie, who gets abducted.

I really enjoyed the investigation with Hayden using her gift, watching these 3 interact, knowing things were awful for Cassie. And oh, that ending! That was pretty amazing, I loved how it turned out! It was a really entertaining read!

I had a great time reading this book, and I can't wait to read more by Shani Michelle!
