My Review:
This was a dark and creepy and amazing read! I've really enjoyed Kate Alice Marshall's writing before, and this one sounded fantastic, and it was! It was great to get to know Harrowstone Hall, and the mysteries surrounding it!
This house has a lot of secrets, and a lot of mysteries. I loved following along Helen as she learns them, of the vile acts that the Vaughns have done, why Harrrow is so important to them. I really enjoyed her story, that of her Vaughn cousins Desmond and Celia, and the Harrow Witch, Bryony!
And oh, that reveal? That was stunning, the planning, the execution, that was top notch, on Kate Alice Marshall's part, and the characters! I loved watching it go down, after everything that happened, it was so cathartic!
The one thing that gets me, is that her last two books were connected. And maybe the black stars thing in this one is, as well, but my memory of the last book is a little hazy, so I'm not sure. I'm still really hoping for at least those two to become a series!
This was another great read, and I can't wait to read more by Kate Alice Marshall!
