Week 5 Review: A Lady of Rooksgrave Manor

From Goodreads:
On the brink of losing her position as a maid and with no prospects to go on, the offer of a place at Rooksgrave Manor—a house of ill and unusual repute—sounds like a perfect fit for a young woman with Esther's inclinations. Even better, the invitation comes by the hand of the handsome Dr. Underwood, a delicate gentleman with a ferocious alter ego who knows exactly what he wants from Esther.

Upon arrival the men and the daily decadence of the manor feel too good to be true for a girl of Esther's station. There are rules to be followed, expectations to meet, and Esther is afraid she might be too wicked even for a place like Rooksgrave.

Temptations lurk around every shadowy corner and Esther has never been a girl able to resist. But the risk of disappointing her new gentlemen isn't all that’s threatening Esther's new position. Rooksgrave Manor's protections for its unusual patrons are failing, the wards are crumbling, and Esther's new and exquisitely pleasurable life may all come tumbling down.

My Review:
Oh, man, this book! I wasn't planning on reading it, and it wasn't yet February, the month of love yet, but it sounded fantastic, and then I devoured it, because it was just some really fantastic smut, and I really enjoyed reading about Esther and her men!

The idea of a house for monsters to have willing ladies, it's a fascinating concept! I do wish that we'd found out if the lady that Esther sent that letter to came to the house or not, because she does sound like she'd fit in!

Esther is really enthusiastic abouts sex. And she's pretty open for all sorts of things, and that open heart and open mind in turn gets such devotion from the men that come to her, from Dr. Underwood and Mr. Tanner, Auguste, Ezra, Booker, and Amon!

I'm excited to see how they're going to face off against Birsha in the future. It took a mix of strength and cunning from her various men and Esther to beat him these 3 times in this book, but he's not out yet, and I can't wait to see him get the big defeat that he deserves! And spend more time in this world, of course!

This was a fantastic read, and I'm glad that it got a revamp, and that it's now the start of a series!
