Week 6 Review: Vengeance

From Goodreads:
Nobody really believes in a curse. Until you know the people who disappear. Too much coincidence, you look for reason. Too much death, you grasp for something to blame. Carson pulled Delaney out and he died on the side of the road with her mouth pressed to his. Her air in his body. Troy. She told the cops it was suicide. Didn't matter. The lake released her and grabbed another. But when Decker's father dies in a pool of spilled water on their kitchen floor, all Decker can feel is a slow burning rage. Because he knows that Delaney knew that his dad was going to die. She knew and backed out of his house and never said a word. Falcon Lake still has a hold on them both, and Decker can't forgive Delaney until he knows why.

My Review:
This was a really compelling read! I loved rereading the first book and the novella-and it was really great to get a full length book from Decker's perspective, and oh, it was an amazing mystery! I just couldn't put it down!

The situations in this book had so many warning signs, emotionally. These characters go through the wringer, it's hard to know who to trust, and it's hard to deal with all the grief and loss that he's going through.

Half of this book was the curse that Delaney is under, to know when someone is going to die, and all the situations that came out from that. The other half was related, but was more personal, was their relationship drama, because she knew his dad was going to die. So there's some emotions there.

That ending though? That was a lot going on, and I loved watching it all play out! We hadn't really known who the threat was coming from, and that reveal was pretty great to read. And I really liked where we left these characters, after everything that they've been through.

This was a really amazing read, and I can't wait to read more by Megan Miranda!
