Week 7 Review: Wild Sign

From Goodreads:
Mated werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham must discover what could make an entire community disappear — before it's too late — in this thrilling entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling Alpha and Omega series.

In the wilds of the Northern California mountains, all the inhabitants of a small town have gone missing. It's as if the people picked up and left everything they owned behind. Fearing something supernatural might be going on, the FBI taps a source they've consulted in the past: the werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham. But Charles and Anna soon find a deserted town is the least of the mysteries they face.

Death sings in the forest, and when it calls, Charles and Anna must answer. Something has awakened in the heart of the California mountains, something old and dangerous — and it has met werewolves before.

My Review:
I was really excited to read this book. I'm always excited to read a new Patricia Briggs book. And I just devoured this book, it was such a great read, I loved being with Anna and Charles again, going on this adventure! It was such a wonderful read! And there were some really interesting developments, that I'm really looking forward to see how they'll turn out in the future!

The whole "met werewolves before" from the synopsis, well, I don't want to spoil, but we have met these characters before, and I loved getting to explore that part of their history, of who they are. As well as what happened in this book is going to have some ripple effects, and I can't wait to see what they are!

The previous Alpha & Omega book was the one that brought to the surface the underlying plot of this series and probably this world, given Storm Cursed. Well, more the Mercy Thompson series, but Burn Bright is the one that introduced the Hardesty Witches. It's not a lot, but we did have progress in that plot, which was interesting and really dark!

I thoroughly enjoyed how this all wrapped up. I mean, I almost cried at one point, because I really didn't want something to happen. Loved how it played out, it was pretty intense, and it was just thrilling to read, and I cannot sing its praises enough! Plus that epilogue, wow, that blew my mind! I need more!

I absolutely loved reading this book, and I'm so excited to see where things go in the future!
