Week 34 Review: Beautiful Creatures

From Goodreads:
Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of Gatlin has ever seen, and she's struggling to conceal her power, and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. But even within the overgrown gardens, murky swamps and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.

Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town's oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover the connection between them.

In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.
My first review of Beautiful Creatures
My Review:
This was a pretty fantastic book! And it's really too bad that the movie didn't do so well, but because of the movie, the authors wrote a spin off series for Link and Ridley, which is why I'm rereading this series, so yeah, something good came out of it!

I had forgotten a lot of what when on in this book, like the fact that Link's real name is Wesley, and they get the nickname out of his last name, Lincoln. Or that above the title of the chapter, was the current date in the book, a nice easy way to see how much time (or how little) had passed between the chapters!

Still love the Casters, and their various titles of various talents, and while I'm pretty sure more of them aren't real words, they are pretty awesome in their uniqueness, since they're not words that you hear every day! And the whole thing with with the Duchanne's family being cursed because of Genevieve's attempt to bring back her Ethan Wate, that her descendants can't choose Light or Dark, the book chooses for them. Except for Lena!

Love the ending. It's sad, but I know that Macon's coming back, so that's all good. Though, I forgot this, Ethan doesn't know that he died. He was told the bare bones of what happened while he was out, but he doesn't know that instead of him being dead, now Macon's dead. And Ethan's death plays a big part in Beautiful Chaos, and Redemption!

Loved this book, can't wait to reread more!
