Best Books Read in 2013

Again, I read a lot of books this year, and I started a rereading kick in July, so this year, the list is going to be pretty substantial!

I read books from January to December, and of those, were the ones that I absolutely loved, be it writing, thinking about it after, or the emotions it evoked, like "I hate that villain, they're so bad! HATEHATEHATE!!!! Yep.

So here's those books in alphabetical order so there's no strangeness among them!

So first up is the Abandon Series by Meg Cabot, Abandon, Underworld, and Awaken! Such an amazing series, a retelling of the Hades and Persephone myth, the underworld, and romance, yeah, so freaking good! Love it!

Next is the Dark-Hunter Series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Fantasy Lover, Night Pleasures, Night Embrace, Dance With the Devil, Kiss of the Night, Night Play, Seize the Night, Sins of the Night, Unleash the Night, Dark Side of the Moon, The Dream-Hunter, Fear the Darkness, Devil May Cry, Upon the Midnight Clear, Dream Chaser, Acheron, Dead After Dark, One Silent Night, Dream Warrior, Bad Moon Rising, No Mercy, Retribution, The Guardian, Redemption, Time Untime, and Styxx. Such an amazing, wonderful, intricate series, just love it! And Styxx just came out, and yeah, it was fantastic!!!

Next is the Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead, Adrian's Lost Chapter, Bloodlines, The Golden Lily, The Indigo Spell, and The Fiery Heart, the last of which just came out this year, and yeah, just a fantastic book! And a great series!!!

Next is the Darkness Before Dawn series by J.A. London, Blood-Kissed Sky, and After Daybreak! Great trilogy, and yeah, just so beautiful, and yeah, loved it!

Next is Afterglow by Karsten Knight. What a great ending to the series! Can't wait to see what Karsten Knight writes next!

Next is the Airhead series by Meg Cabot, Airhead, Being Nikki, and Runaway, such a great series, rereading it, and yeah, just freaking great!!!

Next is the White Rabbit Chronicles by Gena Showalter, Alice in Zombieland, and Through the Zombie Glass, and yeah, just a fantastic series, that I just loved!! Can't wait for The Queen of Zombie Hearts!!!

Next is the All-American Girl series by Meg Cabot, All-American Girl, and Ready or Not, another great reread series, just love, love, loved it!!!!

Next is the Divergent series by Veronica Roth, Divergent, Free Four, Insurgent, and Allegiant!! I actually didn't really like Allegiant, but it was an ending, and I do want to see the movie!!!

Next is Atlantis series by Gena Showalter, Heart of the Dragon, Jewel of Atlantis, The Nymph King, The Vampire's Bride, and The Amazon's Curse. Another great reread series, and Heart of the Dragon got me on Gena Showalter's writing, so yeah, very special!!!

Next is Animal Instincts by Gena Showalter! I loved this book, reading it again, yeah, just a fantastic book!!!!

Next is the Covenant series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, Damion, Half-Blood, Pure, Deity, Elixir, Apollyon, and Sentinel. What a great, great, great series! Loved it, and while sad that it's over, there's still The Return that comes out sometime next year!!

Up next is the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, The Assassin and the Pirate Lord, The Assassin and the Healer, The Assassin and the Desert, The Assassin and the Underworld, The Assassin and the Empire, Throne of Glass, The Assassin and the Princess, The Assassin and the Captain, and Crown of Midnight. And oh, man, is this just a fantastic, wonderful, amazing series! I can't wait for Heir of Fire!!!

Next is the Study series by Maria V. Snyder, Poison Study, Assassin Study, Magic Study, Fire Study, Power Study, and Ice Study. Because, oh, my, is this a great, great series!!! I just love it, and there's going to be 3 more books!!!!!

Next is Asunder by Jodi Meadows, such a great book, in a great series!!! I really enjoyed it, and can't wait to reread it!!!!

Next is At Any Price by Brenna Audrey, which was a freaking great book, a great story, and yeah, it was so good! Can't wait for the next book!

Next is the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost, Halfway to the Grave, One Foot in the Grave, At Grave's End, Destined for an Early Grave, This Side of the Grave, and One Grave at a Time. Oh, wow, just what a great series, I just loved it so much, and I can't wait for Up From the Grave!!!

Next is Avalon High by Meg Cabot, which was just so great to reread, these characters, and then I watched the movie, which was different, but yeah, loved both!!!

Next is the Corps Security Series by Harper Sloan, Axel, Axel again, and Cage. Yeah, I really enjoyed these books, strong characters, and great romance!!!

Next is the Women of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong, Bitten, Stolen, Industrial Magic, Dime Store Magic, Haunted, Broken, No Humans Involved, Personal Demons, Living With the Dead, Frostbitten, Waking the Witch, Spell Bound, Tales of the Otherworld, Men of the Otherworld, Demonology, Becoming, Truth and Consequences, Territorial, Escape, Adventurer, Chaotic, Bargain, Framed, Checkmate, Recruit, 13, Brazen. Yeah, that's a lot. And yeah, it was a great series, one that I loved, and yeah, just so good!!

Next is the Beautiful Bastard series by Christina Lauren, Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Bitch, Beautiful Stranger, Beautiful Bombshell, Beautiful Player, Beautiful Beginning. Oh, man, what a great series! Absolutely loved it, and yeah, can't wait to read the spin off series!

Next is the Beautiful series by Jamie Maguire, Beautiful Disaster, Walking Disaster. Wow, what a great series, and I can't wait for his brother's books!!

Next is Beauty Awakened by Gena Showalter, which I just absolutely loved, I need more of this series!!

Next is the In Death series by J. D. Robb, Naked in Death, Glory in Death, Immortal in Death, Rapture in Death, Ceremony in Death, Vengeance in Death, Holiday in Death, Midnight in Death, Conspiracy in Death, Loyalty in Death, Witness in Death, Judgement in Death, Betrayal in Death, Interlude in Death, Seduction in Death, Reunion in Death, Purity in Death, Portrait in Death, Imitation in Death, Remember When, Divided in Death, Visions in Death, Origin in Death, Memory in Death, Haunted in Death, Born in Death, Innocent in Death, Eternity in Death, Creation in Death, Strangers in Death, Salvation in Death, Ritual in Death, Promises in Death, Kindred in Death, Missing in Death, Fantasy in Death, Indulgence in Death, Possession in Death, Treachery in Death, New York to Dallas, Chaos in Death, Celebrity in Death, Delusion in Death, Thankless in Death, such a great series, and it looks like there isn't an end in sight, so yeah, really enjoying it!

Next is the Fire and Thorns series by Rae Carson, The Shadow Cats, The Shattered Mountain, The King's Guard, The Girl of Fire and Thorns, The Crown of Embers, The Bitter Kingdom. Yeah, just a wonderful series, sad it's done, but yeah, can't wait to read more!

Next is series by Gena Showalter, Last Kiss Goodnight, Black and Blue, which was such a great series, and I really loved this addition to the series!! So good, I really hope John get's his book!

Next is The Hollows series by Kim Harrison, Dead Witch Walking, The Good, the Bad, and The Undead, Every Which Way But Dead, A Fistful of Charms, For A Few Demons More, The Outlaw Demon Wails, White Witch, Black Curse, Unbound, Black Magic Sanction, Pale Demon, A Perfect Blood, Ever After.    

Next is the Sigma Series by James Rollins, Sandstorm, Map of Bones, Black Order, The Judas Strain, The Last Oracle, The Doomsday Key, The Skeleton Key, The Devil's Colony, Tracker, Bloodline, The Eye of God. I love this series, and yeah, so freaking good, and while Tracker and Bloodline were read at the end of 2013, even if they are week 1 reviews!

Next is The Order of the Sanguines by James Rollins and Rebecca Cantrell, City of Screams, The Blood Gospel, The Blood Gospel,  Blood Brothers, Innocent Blood. Such a great series, and I can't wait for the next book!!!

Next is the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead, Vampire Academy, The Meeting, Frostbite, Shadow Kiss, Blood Promise, Spirit Bound, Last Sacrifice, Homecoming. Such a great series, and I've loved it a lot, and it's spin off series, Bloodlines!!!

Next is the League series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Born of Night, Born of Fire, Born of Shadows, Born of Silence, Cloak & Silence. I love this series, and I can't wait to read Born of Fury!!!

Next is The Boy series by Meg Cabot, The Boy Next Door, Boy Meets Girl, Every Boy's Got One. I loved this series, it was just so great!

Next is The Bride Wore Size 12 by Meg Cabot! Such a great book in a great series, I don't know if I want another book or not!

Next is the I Hunt Killers series by Barry Lyga, Career Day, I Hunt Killers, Game. Such a great series, and I can't wait for the 3rd book!

Next is the Chronicles of Elantra Series by Michelle Sagara, Cast in Shadow, Cast in Courtlight, Cast in Secret, Cast in Fury, Cast in Silence, Cast in Chaos, Cast in Ruin, Cast in Peril, Cast in Sorrow. Such an awesome series, and I can't wait for Cast in Flame!!!!

Next is Catch a Mate by Gena Showalter! Such a great book, so funny, and yeah, I hope that she writes that novella or full lent novel for his friend!

Next is the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay. Great series, I wonder if she's going to write any new books!

Next is The Chaos of the Stars by Kiesten White! Such a great book, so funny, can't wait for her next book!

Next is the Shadow Falls series by C. C. Hunter, Saved at Sunrise, Chosen at Nightfall. Such a great ending to the series, can't wait for the spin off one!

Next is the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls. Such a great series, I can't wait until City of Heavenly Fire comes out!!!!!

Next is the Cassandra Palmer series by Karen Chance, Touch the Dark, Claimed by Shadow, Embraced the Night, Curse the Dawn, Hunt the Moon, Tempt the Moon such a great series! I love it, and I can't wait for more!!!

Next is Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare! Such a great book, great ending of the series, and I can't wait to find out how Jem was healed!!!

Next is Cold Fury by T.M. Goeglein, which was just such a wonderful amazing book, just really great, can't wait for the 2nd book!

Next is The Collector by Victoria Scott, which was such a great book, can't wait to read more!!

Next is the Confessions series by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro, Confessions of a Murder Suspect, Confessions of a Murder Suspect, The Private School Murders.

Next is the GhostWalker series by Christine Feehan, Shadow Game, Mind Game, Night Game, Conspiracy Game, Deadly Game, Predatory Game. Such a great series! Can't wait to reread more!!!

Next is Cursed by Jennifer L. Armentrout, such a great book! Which could have a sequel, and yeah, such a great book!

Next is the Dark series by Christine Feehan, Dark Prince, Dark Desire, Dark Gold, Dark Magic, Dark Challenge, Dark Fire, Dark Dreamers, Dark Legend, Dark Guardian, The Scarletti Curse, Dark Symphony, Dark Decent, Dark Melody, Dark Destiny, Hot Blooded, Dark Secret, Dark Demon, Dark Celebration, Dark Possession, Dark Curse, Dark Slayer, Dark Peril, Dark Predator, Dark Storm, Dark Lycan.  

Next is the Lady Julia Gray series by Deanna Raybourn, Silent in the Grave, Silent in the Sanctuary, Silent on the Moor, Dark Road to Darjeeling, The Dark Enquiry. Such a great series, I really need to read the novellas!!!

Next is the My Fair Assassin series by Robin LaFevers, Grave Mercy, Dark Triumph. Such a great series, I'm really enjoying it, and can't wait for the 3rd book!

Next is the Lords of the Underworld series by Gena Showalter, The Darkest Night, The Darkest Kiss, The Darkest Pleasure, The Darkest Whisper, Heart of Darkness, The Darkest Passion, The Darkest Lie, The Darkest Secret, The Darkest Surrender, The Darkest Seduction, The Darkest Craving!!!! Such an amazing series, I really love it, and I can't wait for The Darkest Touch!!!!

Next is A Darkness Strange and Lovely by Susan Dennard! Such a great book, and a great sequel!! Can't wait to read Strange and Ever After!!!

Next is Dead Ever After by Charlaine Harris! Which was a really great ending to the series!

Next is Dead Silence by Kimberly Derting, great ending to a great series! Can't wait to finish her other series, and her next series!

Next is the Darklight series by Darynda Jones, Death, Doom, and Detention, Death, and the Girl He Loves, which is such a great series, I really, really enjoyed it! Hope she writes another YA series!

Next is the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi, Destroy Me, Unravel Me, 2 great stories in this series, so freaking good, I can't wait for the last book!!

Next is the Selection series by Kiera Cass, The Prince, The Selection, The Elite, a really great series, can't wait for the 3rd book!

Next is Endless Knight by Kresley Cole which is such a great book, it was so freaking amazing, can't wait for the next book!

Next is The Essence by Kimberly Derting, good sequel, can't wait to read the last book!

Next is the Night Huntress Universe series by Jeaniene Frost, First Drop of Crimson, Eternal Kiss of Darkness, 2 great books, I hope that Ian get's a book, and yeah, just so good!

Next is Everneath series by Brodi Ashton, Neverfall, Everbound, 2 excellent stories that really make me want Evertrue!!!

Next is Every Other Day by Jennifer Lynn Barnes such a great book, I really enjoyed it, it was so good!

Next is Nadia Stratford series by Kelley Armstrong, Exit Strategy, Made to Be Broken, Wild Justice. Such a great series, one I love, and yeah, glad that we got Wild Justice!!!

Next is Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes, totally understand why this is described as a Game of Thrones YA!

Next is Charley Jones series by Darynda Jones, First Grave on the Right, Second Grave on the Right, Third Grave Dead Ahead, For I Have Sinned, Forth Grave Beneath My Feet, Fifth Grave Past the Light, Fifth Grave Past the Light, what an absolutely great series, I loved it, can't wait for more!!!

Next is The Crescent Chronicles series by Alyssa Rose Ivy, Focus, Found, such a great series, I absolutely loved it, can't wait for the spin off series!!!

Next is Foreplay by Sophie Jordan which was a wonderful book, I loved it, and I can't wait to read more of this series!!!

Next is The Princess Diaries series by Meg Cabot, The Princess Diaries, Princess in the Spotlight, Princess in Love, Princess in Waiting, Project Princess, Princess in Waiting, Princess in Training, Party Princess, Sweet Sixteen Princess, Princess on the Brink, Princess Mia, Forever Princess such a great series! I absolutely love it, and there's news in this series is coming soon!!!

Next is the Watersong series by Amanda Hocking, Lullaby, Tidal, Forgotten Lyrics, Elegy, what a great series!!! Really loved it, can't wait for the spin off series of her troll series!

Next is Partials Sequence series by Dan Wells, Isolation, Partials, Fragments, such a wonderful series, I absolutely love it!

Next is The Friday Society by Adrienne Kress such a great book, I really enjoyed it, half hope for a sequel, half don't!

Next is Frigid by Jennifer L. Armentrout such a great book, can't wait for more books by Jennifer L. Armentrout!!

Next is Gabriel's Inferno series by Sylvain Reynard, Gabriel's Inferno, Gabriel's Rapture, what a great series, absolutely loved it, can't wait for the last book!

 

Next is Gameboard of the Gods by Richelle Mead such a great story, I can't wait for more!!!

Next is The Girl With the Iron Touch by Kady Cross such a fantastic series and I want more!!!

Next is Goddess by Josephine Angelini oh, wow, what a great ending to a great series! I loved it so much and I can't wait to read more!!!

Next is The Hazards of Skinny Dipping by Alyssa Rose Ivy which was such a great funny contemporary book!

Next is Eve Duncun series by Iris Johansen, Taking Eve, Hunting Eve, Silencing Eve such a great mini trilogy in the series! So good!

Next is Iced by Karen Marie Moning such a wonderful book, and addition to the Fever series! I can't wait for more!!!

Next is the Die for Me series by Amy Plum, Die For Her, If I Should Die, such a great ending to a great series! I absolutely loved it!!!

Next is The Darkest Minds series by Alexandra Bracken, In Time, Never Fade wonderful middle of a series, and I can't wait for more!!!

Next is the Premonition series by Amy A. Bartol, Inescapable, Intuition, Indebted, Incendiary such a great series! I can't wait for more!!!

Next is Chronicles of Nick series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Infamous, Inferno I love this series! So good! I can't wait for more!!!

Next is the Insatiable series by Meg Cabot, Insatiable, Overbite, such a great series, and while there might be a 3rd book, I really enjoyed these, and yeah, just so good!

Next is the Insides series by Maria V. Snyder, Inside Out, Outside In such a great series! Inside Out was my first Maria V. Snyder book, though Poison Study was my really first book!

Next is the Intertwined series by Gena Showalter, Intertwined, Unraveled, Twisted, I love this series! Such a great series, I hope that the 4th book comes out soon!

Next is Dark Swan series by Richelle Mead, Storm Born, Thorn Queen, Iron Crowned, Shadow Heir, suh a great series, and I hope that the possible 5th book becomes a real book!

Next is the Jessica by Beth Fantaskey, Jessica's Guide to Dating the Dark Side, Jessica Rule's the Dark Side, such a great series, I love it!!!

Next is Jinx by Meg Cabot, a nice stand alone, though I wish for a sequel, yeah, it's just a great book!

Next is The Squad series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Perfect Cover, Killer Spirit, such a nice seires, absolutely loved it, and yeah, I can't wait for more!

Next is Lords of the Avalon by Kinsley MacGregor, Sword of Darkness, Knight of Darkness, I love this series, and I can't wait for more!!!

Next is Lair of the Lion by Christine Feehan such a great book! Absolutely wonderful!

Next is Losing It by Cora Carmack such a great book! Loved it so much!!!

Next is the Sea Wolves series by Kinsley MacGregor, Master of Seduction, A Pirate of Her Own, 2 great books, I really hope that there's a 3rd book!!!

Next is the Matt Archer series by Kendra C. Highley, Matt Archer: Monster Hunter, Matt Archer: Monster Summer, Matt Archer: Blade's Edge, Matt Archer: Blade's Edge, Matt Archer: Legend, this is such a great series! Absolutely great, can't wait for the last book!!!

Next is Midnight's Daughter by Karen Chance loved rereading this book, and I hope Dory get's a 4th book!

Next is the 1-800-Where-R-U series by Meg Cabot, Vanished: When Lightning Strikes and Code Name Cassandra, Vanished: Safe House and Sanctuary, Missing You, oh, wow, such a fantastic series, absolutely love it!

Next is The Morning Star by Robin Bridges, such a great ending to a great series!!!

Next is The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes such a great book! And the start of a great series, and I can't wait for it!!!!

Next is Nicola and the Viscount by Meg Cabot which was such a great book to reread!

Next is Santa Flora by Iris Johansen, Return to Santa Flores, No Red Roses while not actually modern, such good stories!

Next is Oath Bound by Rachel Vincent such a great ending to a great series! Can't wait for her next adult series!

Next is Obsession by Jennifer L. Armentrout what a great book, I hope for more books!!!

Next is Oh My Goth by Gena Showalter what a great book to reread! I just love it!

Next is Omens by Kelley Armstrong loved this book so freaking much! I can't wait for more!!!

Next is the Night Prince series by Jeaniene Frost, Once Burned, Twice Tempted oh, I totally enjoyed these books! They were so good! I can't wait for the 3rd book!

Next is the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, Opal, Origin such a great series and I can't wait for the last book!!!

Next is Overprotected by Jennifer Laurens what a great book! I just really enjoyed it!

Next is the Imperia series by Gena Showalter, The Stone Prince, The Pleasure Slave, oh, I really enjoyed this series, and loved rereading it!

Next is the Tale of the Extraordinary Girl series by Gena Showalter, Playing With Fire, Twice as Hot, really enjoyed this series, and I hope there is a 3rd book!

Next is The Queen's Choice by Cayla Kluver, such a great new book in a great new series! So freaking good!

Next is Ransom My Heart by Meg Cabot such an amazing story, really loved it!

Next is the Shadowfell series by Juliet Marllier, Shadowfell, Raven Flight, such a great series, one I love, and one I can't wait to finish!!!

Next is Reboot by Amy Tintera oh, such a great book! Loved it, can't wait for more!!

Next is Rise of the Gryphon by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dianna Love I can't wait for more, this book was so good!

Next is The Rising by Kelley Armstrong, such a great ending! I hope that we get more books in this world of the YA, as well as the adult!

Next is the Grover Beach Team series by Piper Shelly, Play With Me, Ryan Hunter what great books! Loved them so freaking much!!!

Next is Scarlet by Marissa Meyer such a great book, and yeah, I absolutely loved it so much!!!

Next is the Touch of Power series by Maria V. Snyder, Touch of Power, Scent of Magic, Taste of Darkness such an amazing series that I absolutely loved!!!

Next is Seraphina by Rachel Hartman such a great book, and I really can't wait for the sequel!!!

Next is The Faerie Ring series by Kiki Hamilton, The Torn Wing, The Seven Year King 2 wonderful books, and yeah, I can't wait for more!!!

Next is Sever by Lauren DeStefano, such a great ending to a wonderful series! So good!

Next is Shades of Earth by Beth Revis, another great ending to a great series!

Next is Shanna by Kathleen E. Woodiwiss, just a fantastic and funny and amazing book!

Next is Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo, which was so freaking good, I'm not even kidding, I want the 3rd book now!!!

Next is the Chanters of Tremaris series by Kate Constable, The Singer of All Songs, The Waterless Sea, The Tenth Power, The Taste of Lightning, love this series, and I want more!

Next is Some Quiet Place by Kelsey Sutton, such a wonderful and unique, amazing book, absolutely loved it!

Next is A Spear of Summer Grass by Deanna Raybourn, what a wonderful, amazing book, just really enjoyed Delilah's journey!

Next is the Georgina Kincade series by Richelle Mead, Succubus Blues, Succubus on Top, Succubus Dreams, Succubus Heat, Succubus Shadow, Succubus Revealed, such a great, great series, I really enjoyed it so freaking much!

Next is Sweet Peril by Wendy Higgins what a great sequel, I want more now!!!

Next is Switched by Cassie Mae, what a nice, sweet, and funny book, so loved it!

Next is Teardrop by Lauren Kate such a great book, I really loved it, and I can't wait for more!!!

Next is Teen Idol by Meg Cabot, such a great book, loved rereading it!!!

Next is These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner, oh, what a great book, but yeah, I can't wait for more!!!

Next is Truth or Dare by Jacqueline Green what a great book! So freaking good!

Next is Truly, Madly, Deadly by Hannah Jayne such a wonderful mystery and yeah, loved it so much!

Next is the Wait for You series by Jennifer L. Armstrong, Wait for You, Wait for You, Trust in Me, what a great series!

Next is Undead by Kirsty McKay such a funny, amazing book, loved it so much!

Next is Unchained by Jennifer L. Armentrout oh, so freaking good, I really hope that there's a 2nd and 3rd books!

Next is United We Spy by Ally Carter oh, I loved this book and series so freaking much!

Next is Valkyrie Rising by Ingrid Paulson such a great book! Loved it so much, I really hope for a sequel!!!

Next is Vengeance Bound by Justina Ireland oh, this was a fantastic book, and I can't wait to see what Justina Ireland writes next!!

Next is Vessel by Sarah Beth Durst such a wonderful book! Loved it so much, can't wait for her next book!

Next is Victoria and the Rogue by Meg Cabot another great book that I loved too!

Next is When We Wake by Karen Healey such a great book very unique, can't wait for more!

Next is The Wicked Within by Kelly Keaton, such a great ending to the series, I hope for a spin off series!

Next is With All My Soul by Rachel Vincent loved this ending to the series! So good, can't wait for her next YA series!

Lastly is 3:59 by Gretchen McNeil, such a great book, interesting and fun, loved it so much!

461 books. I'm exhausted. But I did read over 800 books again, these ones, well, they were the best of the bunch, like, the very, very, very best. So yeah, these are the best books I read in 2013!
